And tiz done...

Sun Feb 3, 2008, 10:32 AM
I have finally finished my second novel, The Vampire's Daughter, the second installment in my Vichalace series. I honestly never thought I'd get there with such a complicated ending, but I managed it, linked everything together and voilah!!! Another book down!!

All that's left now is one helluva lot of editing...*Shakes head* I can't wait to spellcheck the thing, as at 475 pages....we have quite the epic on our hands. Still, I believe it is worth the length, as so much happens. I just had so many ideas, I am glad I have 4 books in total or I'd never fit everything in. I started messing around with the start of Book 3 - The Obsydian Diaries (at least that's what it's called at the moment) the other day, and already I haev myself hooked on a brand new storyline. Let's just say I bring a lot more of Darren's past into the light, and it's not a happy one, plus follow up where Book 2 leaves off with a rather shock ending....which I'm not going to say anything about but - I bet you won't see it coming haha! I'm evil aren't I? Anyway, I am very VERY pleased with myself. I planned on having this finished by the end of Jan, and I am only a few days out. Now I can start the ardous process of making it printworthy.

Okay, well, umm I thought you all would want to know that hehe. And for anyone who hasn't already been aquainted with The Amulet of Vichalace, the link is below.

Take care all!

Having written a reasonably long manuscript myself I know the feeling of that last full stop but to do a second one, That scares me a bit. I am starting soon though because I have a theme now.
Editing is a whole world away from where I am yet.

R2D2, you know better than to trust a strange computer!

Don't thank me for faves, browse a deviation by a stranger you like and fave it.
Great job!! >3<

Good Luck with the editing!

Cool! How many words is it? How many books do you plan to have in the series?

Also, you probably know this already, but you normally spell it "obsidian" not "obsydian". :)
The dreaded dissertation. Don't worry, if I could do it, you can :D

I haven't lost my mind - It's backed up on disk somewhere...
Four books in the series...and maybe a few spin offs in the same 'world' as such. Err work count...lemme look...
273,366 words :D

As for Obsydian, I wanted a 'y' as it's like 'vampyres' sometimes its good to change a spelling here and there, but to be honest this is just a working title for the mo, it may change :D

about damn time. =P

I'm one of those writers that self edits by chapter... ish not a good idea, as lengthens the writing process appreciably, and doesn't really do anything to effect the arduousness of the final edit.

damn me...
*tazers you*
