Not all zombies are evilby ~ZoeStead

I think zombies are given a rather bad press, don't you? Always going 'merrrrgh' at people and eating entrails...it's not a good light to be shown in. That's why my zombie character (from book 2- see my journal) Ashley Turner, isn't quite the sterotypical bad guy.

Ashley's the result of a botched experiment by the bad guys in my second book, leaving him with his own mind but still in his own decayed body (poor guy). His story is quite complex and it's also quite sad too, as he doesn't especially LIKE what was done to him and seeks revenge on the scientists who killed him and then quite rudely brought him back to life. Luckily he meets The Seventh Circle who take him in and clean him up (as best they can) and make him one of their membership. Being a zombie, Ashley isn't easily hurt, and is helped a lot by the fact he used to teach martial arts when he was alive. (The ninja-zombie jokes are now running a little thin at The Circle, so he now just ignores them.) He's one mean fighter and isn't afraid to get stuck into the fray. He gets along best with Celeste and Darren, although he always feels a bit self conscious about his appearance. he's working on that though, and at least now, is among friends.

Ashley also comes with an unexpected guest, a cat called Shadow who is a stray that befrended Ashley at the cemetery he was found at. Shadow is mischevious, adoreable and can usually be found sitting on Ashley's shoulders. He eats anything and everything and is especially fond of the pink wafer biscuits that are left over at Circle meetings.

There is an earlier picture of Ashley waaaaaaaaaaay back in my gallery very simialr to this, but I just thought it was about time to update him.

Actually Ashley's the only good one, the rest are actually animated corpses...it's just that he went wrong, so is kinda a zombie, but not.
