You may remember the sketch I did of this I did a while ago, well I found it again underneath a huge pile of unfinished work... and decided to finish it. This is Celeste from my book - [link] - who is the adopted daughter of a vampire. Unfortunately Laughlan's two best friends - Sairey and Edward Rathmore (also vampires) have been roped into babysitting - along with Sach the werewolf, who is usually being chased/ridden/decorated/pounced upon by Celeste. I was going to add dialogue to the actual picture, but it just didn't look right, and I thought the expressions kinda stood alone, otherwise their conversation would be something as follows:
SAIREY: Yes, that's a lovely picture of me, thank you, Celeste. CELESTE: That's okay. Does Mr Rathmore like his picture? EDWARD: I'm bald... and screaming because the sunlight has started to burn me alive.... SAIREY ... EDWARD: Yes, it's lovely, thank you. SACH: *How long will this peace last?* Just for a bit of background, Sairey and Edward are a very wealthy couple Laughlan meets when he first arrives in London. They had always wanted children, but Sairey was unable to have her own, so they ran a children's orphanage. Edward was a doctor who treated the poorest of London's residents who lived in the slums... those usually unable to afford medicine. How he was turned, is quite a long story, but in the end, Edward sees his vampirism as a way to help even more people as he can go into the slums, where disease is rife and treat those no other doctor will go to because he didn't fear death. Sairey, as his loving and devoted wife, asks him to turn her too, as she wants to be with him forever. However Edward was bitten by a weakling vampire and cannot turn Sairey. Instead, she is turned by Everis, at the request of Edward, and is one of the very few vampires in the city to be one of Everis's own creations- something which she keeps secret. In the modern day, they are a wealthy couple highly devoted to raising money for charities. They own a very large house in Kensington and have always watched over Celeste when Laughlan wasn't around. Even though as an adult Celeste hardly remembers them, they have always loved her, and watched over her from afar. AWWWWWW! As for Sach, well, let's just say he is glad to hand over the protection of Celeste to Rivers. As much as he likes his hugs, being decorated in jewellery and playing 'tea party' is not a werewolf's idea of a good night out. Enjoy! Oh and my Edward... he doesn't sparkle... |

...I'd hug him, but that wouldn't help matters, now would it?
